ORION has the ability to provide asbestos abatement oversight in buildings with critical populations. ORION managed the removal of asbestos in the Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards District Office while it was fully operational 24/7.
Legionella Water Safety Management (ASSE 12080) Specialist
A Legionella Water Safety Management Specialist is a trained professional responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with Legionella bacteria in water systems. Legionella, which can cause Legionnaires’ disease, thrives in environments such as cooling towers, hot water tanks, and plumbing systems. The specialist’s role involves conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and developing water management plans to minimize the potential for Legionella growth. They also oversee routine monitoring, water treatment, and maintenance of water systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Their expertise is critical in protecting public health, particularly in healthcare, government, hospitality, and industrial settings, where water systems are complex and vulnerable to contamination.
ORION has experience testing drinking water in GSA-leased facilities throughout Washington State. ORION has a Legionella Water Safety Management Specialist on staff capable of testing per the PBS scope of work (Feb 2024), including testing drinking water for Total Coliform Bacteria, E. coli, and heavy metals such as copper and lead. ORION has tested drinking water in numerous GSA-leased facilities throughout the Puget Sound Area, including but not limited to DEA facilities, U.S. Department of Agriculture facilities, Parks Service facilities, and Social Security Administration buildings.
