Your Role at a Glance:
As an Industrial Hygienist Technician, you’ll play a critical role in identifying workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and helping clients create healthier environments.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting asbestos, mold, lead, and indoor air quality surveys.
- Performing assessments of occupational health exposures (e.g., asbestos, noise, and chemicals).
- Preparing and delivering detailed technical reports for clients.
- Maintaining and operating specialized equipment (sampling pumps, microscopes, etc.).
- Traveling occasionally for out-of-area projects (personal vehicle required).
- Collaborating with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure success.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in a related field or 2 years experience preferred.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- AHERA Building Inspector
- NIOSH 582
- Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor
- ICC Site Assessor
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test (required for federal sites).
