Join a Growing Environmental Team as a Laboratory Professional! At Orion Environmental Services and NOW Environmental Services, we’ve been leaders in environmental consulting and laboratory analysis since 1994. We specialize in industrial hygiene testing, hazardous materials testing, and environmental testing. With offices across the Western United States, we’re looking for a motivated Environmental Laboratory Professional to join our team in Federal Way, WA.
As an Environmental Laboratory Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely analysis for our clients and field teams. You’ll bring strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to a fast-paced lab environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Conducting bulk asbestos microscope sample analysis, indoor air quality analysis, and phase contrast microscope analysis
- Verify completeness and accuracy of sample documentation
- Overseeing sample flow, including receiving samples and reporting results
- Develop new testing protocols
- Follow proper procedures for the safe handling, storage, and intake of environmental samples
- Preparing and delivering technical reports
- Maintaining lab equipment
- Supporting the maintenance of laboratory certifications
